CLIMATIC CONDITIONS:
Bled has a mild, healthy subalpine climate and no fog during the season. The weather in September is mostly fine and usually very stable with average temperatures around 18. A light coat or a sweater is recommended.
HEALTH-RESORT TOURISM:
Thermal springs are used to fill three indoor swimming pools, in Grand Hotel Toplice (23), in Park Hotel and Golf Hotel (28, the water is heated). Analysis of the thermal water in Grand Hotel Toplice, carried out by Prof.Kletzinski, shows that 10 litres contain 1520 microlitres of free carbonic acid and 5.36 grams of natural salts. Besides extremely pleasant bathing they also provide curative treatment for exhaustion, neurovegetative disorders, effects of overweight etc. The motto of Arnold Rikli, who established his well-known solar, air and thermal bath in 1855 was:"The water, of course, is useful, but the air does even better and the light best of all".
